Connect your favourite apps to TestMonitor! TestMonitor offers an integration with several apps. For example, automatically create issues in Azure DevOps and Jira or get Slack notifications when a Test Run is completed.
Use the cog wheel in the header to open the Settings.
At the left side, you’ll see a categorized list of configuration sections. The fifth section is Integrations & Migrating. In the underlying section Integrations you can integrate your TestMonitor environment with an app by clicking Add to project.
You'll be forwarded to the Integrations page of your active project. Here you can integrate your TestMonitor environment with the selected app by selecting Connect.
Integrating with Azure DevOps
Set up Azure DevOps integration
To integrate TestMonitor with Azure DevOps, you first need to accept the request for several permissions:
- Grant full access to work items, queries, backlogs, plans, and work item tracking metadata. Also provide the ability to receive notifications about work item events via service hooks.
- Grant the ability to read projects and teams.
Choose Accept to allow TestMonitor to perform the above actions on your behalf, and to continue configuring the integration. Choose Deny when you don't want to grant the permissions and to return to your TestMonitor project.
Configure Azure DevOps integration
When you've chosen Accept, you'll return to the Integrations page of you active project. Here you can configure your Azure DevOps integration by clicking Configure.
A popup will appear allowing you to specify the properties of your Azure DevOps environment.
You're asked to fill in the name of your Organization en select the Azure DevOps Project for which you want to set up an integration with TestMonitor. Select Save and the integration with Azure DevOps project is all set up!
From this point on all newly created issues in the current TestMonitor project will automatically be added to your Azure DevOps project. When a newly created issue in TestMonitor is updated this update will also appear in Azure DevOps.
Whenever you create an issue in TestMonitor a new issue will automatically be created in your connected Azure DevOps Project. The issue details from TestMonitor that will be copied to your Azure DevOps issue include the issue's attachments, name and description.
An issue in TestMonitor that is linked to Azure DevOps will be updated automatically when the TestMonitor issue name, description or attachments are changed.
Viewing linked issues
Issues in TestMonitor that are linked to an Azure DevOps issue have a Open in DevOps button in the right top corner of the issue detail page.
You can also find a reference in the issue overview. First, use the cog button on the top right of the issue overview to activate the Azure DevOps column. Clicking a reference in this column will redirect you to the issue in Azure DevOps.
